There are several reasons why you might not yet be able to access your course in your Brightspace:

  • Instructors may not have made the course available to students yet in Brightspace. This is the most common reason. Brightspace courses are available by default 2 days before the official start date of the course. Instructors, however, may choose to adjust that date to make it available earlier or to wait until the course actually begins.
  • Students who are not officially enrolled as a student in a course will not be able to access Brightspace course materials. For example, students on a waitlist may not have full access to a course until/unless fully enrolled as a student.
  • Classes from previous semesters are made unavailable to students through an automated process.
