Register the Microsoft Authenticator app as a method of authentication, preferably as your default method before you leave. You can use the one-time password code feature directly from the Microsoft Authenticator app, even when your smartphone or tablet is in airplane mode or lacks cell service.

  • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app and select your Madison College account. This will generate a six-digit temporary passcode. The code is time-based and valid for 30 seconds.
  • When prompted upon login, select ‘I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now.’

Approve sign in request. Can't use app link is identified.

  • Then, choose ‘Use a verification code from my mobile app.’

  • Enter the six-digit temporary passcode provided on your device to complete the authentication process.
