If you need to update the phone number for your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for VDI, you can login to your MFA account on a computer to change your method to your new phone number.

If you've already set up your MFA, then a message will be sent automatically to your old phone for authentication.

However, you will probably not be able to use the old phone for MFA verification as you won't get the message, but you will eventually be able to answer the security questions you set up to verify your identity.

If you don't see the option to answer security questions - In the text entry box, try entering some numbers, any numbers - they will be wrong of course, and click authenticate, or just keep waiting for a few minutes, and then you should see the option to choose to answer security questions.

After answering your security questions to log in, you can change the method to add your new phone number and you should be able to access your virtual desktop from off-campus using MFA.

Student Computer Help recommends using the text message option. If you have any questions, let us know. You can also call us at 608-243-4444 during Truax Library open hours.
