You will have access to your email for a few months at least, likely longer.

Technology Services policy:

As of Mar 2018 - Graduates and former students not currently enrolled at Madison College: You may have access to your student email for a short period of time after you are no longer enrolled, but the space allocated may be reduced or the accounts may be deactivated. When you are close to graduation or are not enrolled for the next semester for any reason, let your contacts know of your alternate email contact information.

How-To transfer emails - from Student Computer Help:

Microsoft doesn't currently have a built-in transfer tool for Office365 Outlook web email, however there are some options for emails you want to keep:

  • Send an email to another personal email account by forwarding emails - one by one.
  • Open an email and drag multiple messages into it and then send that email to another personal email account - forwarding multiple messages at once, all sent in one email.
  • Setting up a rule or forwarding - works for newly received emails.
  • Use a desktop client to transfer emails -  more complicated

Indiana University has a helpful webpage with some advantages and disadvantages of various transfer methods. https://kb.iu.edu/d/barg
